Baby Foo (She/Her)
Clinical Psychologist
Master of Clinical Psychology, Western Sydney University
Current PhD candidate, University of Sydney
Baby is a Clinical Psychologist, Board-Approved Supervisor, and EMDR Accredited Practitioner. She has broad experience supporting adults with anxiety, depression, existential distress, grief and bereavement, as well as adjustment to chronic and/or advanced illness and other life transitions, including the transition from studying to work. Alongside Head in the Clouds, she works in Supportive and Palliative Medicine within the public health system and has previously worked across alcohol and substance use treatment, gambling support, and university student counselling.
Baby creates a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment for her clients. She takes an integrative and evidence-based approach in therapy and tailors treatment to each unique person. She enjoys supporting clients to work through challenges in life, and appreciates the resilience and generosity that they bring into the room.
Alongside her clinical work, Baby contributes to the profession through research, teaching, and invited presentations. She has presented at conferences and symposiums, delivered guest seminars and in-service education to healthcare and community services, and contributed to curriculum development within psychology training. Her current PhD research and publications examining the role of psychologists in end-of-life care continues to contribute to emerging discussions within the field.
Outside of work, Baby enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, travel, good food (a nod to her Southeast Asian background and to her dear mother who is an amazing cook), reading, and running (…occasionally!).
P.S. There is often curiosity about Baby’s birth name, and she is always happy to share the story.
