Dany Aboumelhem
(He/Him)
Clinical Psychologist
Master of Psychology (Clinical), Australian Catholic University
Dany is a Clinical Psychologist with a particular interest in working with adults experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and addictions. He has extensive experience working in private mental health facilities as well as private practice. In 2023, Dany was involved in curating the inpatient and outpatient mental health programs of the brand new, state of the art Matilda Nepean Private Hospital, where he continues to refine, develop, and deliver the programs today.
Dany offers a compassionate, warm, non-judgemental approach. He is passionate about tailoring treatment to meet individual needs. He is innately validating, and where required, also gently encouraging of change. He aims to meet you where you are in life and help you achieve your treatment goals. While therapy can be daunting, Dany’s natural sense of humour and desire to connect on a human level with everyone who walks through his door tends to put people at ease. He hopes that clients feel able to be their truest self, take off their masks, and be vulnerable at a pace that feels right to them.
In his down time, Dany enjoys switching off with a video game (currently playing Supersmash Bros and MK1), the theatre and movies, and besting his family and friends (sometimes) in any number of boardgames. He may not look it – but he attends the gym daily to help unwind from work and loves a game of tennis when he can squeeze it into his schedule.
