Carolin Hayes (She/Her)
Psychologist
Master of Professional Psychology, University of New England
Location
Newtown
Carolin works with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma (single-incident and complex trauma), attachment-related difficulties, low self-esteem, and difficulties in relationship. Drawing on her experience supporting individuals with complex and diverse needs in private practice, and a particular passion for EMDR, Carolin focuses on trauma-informed care to help her clients create lasting change.

Clients describe Carolin as warm, genuine and non-judgemental. She believes that understanding the broader context of a person's life is essential to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs, rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation. Her approach is collaborative and practical, integrating trauma processing techniques with strategies clients can use day-to-day. She works at each person's pace, creating a space where clients feel heard and understood, and leave with tools to build resilience and move toward the life they want.

Outside of the therapy room, Carolin is happiest near the ocean, ocean swimming with friends, post-swim coffees, and keeping an eye out for whales during migration season. She'll happily admit that whale season is her favourite season, and she won’t mind a session starting with a with a report about a recent sighting.
